When the client — a JKG Group customer since its inception — brought us a new design concept
for its invitations, we immediately recognized that there was a better way to get it done. We
reengineered the design to make it more appetizing while reducing their manufacturing and postage
costs. And, using our proprietary MarCommand technology, we implemented an online solution to streamline the entire production and
mailing process.
Simplifying the Complicated
To compel doctors to open the envelope and read the message inside, the invitation has to be
eye-catching and sophisticated. It combines four separate personalized pieces, including a place
card that’s affixed to a 3-D embossed “dinner plate” and an RSVP card/questionnaire. The invitation
package evokes the experience of finding one’s place at an exclusive dinner.
Utilizing MarCommand, JKG created a custom online solution that allows the client’s sales team to upload
their targeted lists of qualified leads, proof all the components of the invitation in MarCommand and
submit them for internal approval. Once they’re OK’d, the pieces are printed and mailed automatically.
The system also allows us to be remarkably responsive when short-turnaround situations arise.

Ultimately, we were able to enhance the allure of the client’s high-end invitations while cutting
the cost of the envelopes and reducing their postage per piece by 26%. Thanks to our innovative
production and technology solutions, the capacity of the physician invitation program has doubled —
